I don't think I can type and walk at the same time!

The max speed is 3.5mph and meant for slow pace walking, wonder if that's slow enough to be able to type. I'm sure it'd take some time to get used to, but I would like to own one of those.

We're supposed to get 6000 steps a day, but my doctor suggested I actually do 10,000 steps per day. According to the link below that's about 5 miles.

Brandon used to read for school while he walked on the treadmill. I think he kept it at 3.0 and was still able to do that.

I did the Cardio 20/20 program several years ago and the goal was the reach 10,000 steps a day (I forgot how long this was). I wore a pedometer to track it. Just going to work on a given day (and no workout) was no where near the goal, even with a couple walks!

I've had to stop reading while I work out, even just walking on a treadmill. The only exercise I've found I can do while reading that doesn't strain my neck or eyes is the recumbent bike. I'd probably try a workstation on a recumbent bike over a treadmill.

I like your idea Karen...ship it!

What about a portable recumbent bike that could fit under any desk? This way we could keep our current workstations and just replace the chair :-)
