Coffee actually has been shown to reduce liver cancer and to be effective with (or with symptoms of) Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases," Dr. Oz says. "So there are a bunch of different places where coffee can play a role. The reason it got a bad name is because it does have side effects, for example, migraine headaches and heart palpitations. But if you're not having them, coffee is reasonable."
Did we mention, it's good for those bowel movements, too? Dr. Oz suggests 24 ounces of coffee a day is a rational amount.

Yeah for coffee!
Coffee is also bad when instant coffee is diluted with Dr Pepper (I think I put in some International Cafe too). I don't recommend it. See Dr Oz's comment! :D Those crazy college days....
I updated your goals up at the top of the page :)
Keep up the good work!
Shouldn't you allow yourself at least 1 meal out a week? What if your friends call and ask you to go out to eat?
Absolutely Danielle!!
*Most* restaurants have healthy options nowadays and I try to stick with those. However, every now and then I'll get a craving for ice-cream and I will let myself indulge in that.
I rather not identify a "cheat" meal as one of my goals because if I don't get the craving, then I just won't eat the ice-cream.
I have to say that I don't usually crave regular unhealthy foods (fries, bacon, mash potatoes, etc), mainly just ice-cream. Usually by the end of the meal I'm content and never get dessert.
I am learning to develop new taste buds, and part of it for me is to never feel like I'm restricting myself of anything...so I will indulge in ice-cream once or twice or maybe even three times a week but I get the smallest cup and work out even harder if/when I do :-)
I'm not much of a sweets person myself, but I do like ice cream. When I have ice cream, I mostly have plain vanilla -- I have a quart of Haagen Dazs vanilla in the freezer just in case I want some.
